BECAUSE PEOPLE AREN’T IMAGINING THEMSELVES THRIVING IN RETIREMENT
Prudential wanted to help people live better longer by inspiring them to envision themselves in a thriving and active retirement. So we created a multi-modal AI photo booth/web app experience that combines image generation, hyper-personalized stories, and voiceover narratives to inspire Prudential event attendees to Protect Their Life’s Work in retirement.
Our custom AI pipeline takes the users photobooth photo and the answers to our simple questionnaire, to generate an inspirational story of their life in retirement. It then takes that story and creates an aged image of them in context of the story and prints it on a postcard for them to take home. A postcard from future you.
Results: Our experience was used at over 18 events, reaching over 2000 users.
Improving Individuality and Representation in our AI Models
After feedback from our first event, we heard that people couldn’t always recognize themselves. The early AI models struggled to retain likeness.
We went through many rounds improving our AI processes to better preserve an individual’s diverse characteristics which include race, skintone, gender, hair type, body size, ability, and more.
We also added human moderation to ensure accurate representation.
